Fifteen years ago you might have been complimenting Phil Gazell on his musicianship as a world class harmonica player. Today you might still compliment his musicianship, but it probably would be because he just finished editing several pieces of library music together to give a client that “post score feel” without the post score price. Music editing is just one of the many things Phil does well. He wears many hats and seems to move seamlessly between all the disciplines of audio post production.

His SFX editing credits include the award-winning "Thunder Theater," a 70mm film produced for NASCAR, and the Hoover Dam Visitors Center videos, which involved sound environments and foley work for several 35mm films. Phil has long been on call to do ADR for shows and features that include "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman," "Touched by an Angel," "Cape Fear" and several made-for-TV movies that include ABC's Family Channel Presentation of "Lucky Seven" Billy Bob Thorntons' " Daddy and Them" and Dolly Partons' "Bluebird of Happiness". IV Inc. turned to Phil to mix their award winning spots for Vanderbilt Hospital entitled "Hearts and Minds," as did the Buntin Group on their big budget spots for "First American Bank." Phil's sound design credits, where he was in charge of every aspect of the audio process include "Wisharoo Park" a thirteen week series for American Public Television, and "Basswackers" a 26 week series for TNN. More recently Phil has been co-producing as well as editing and mixing all the Radio and TV spots for Armed Forces Radio and Television Network, a huge undertaking considering that this encompasses some 400 spots per year! Add to this, multimedia presentations including the Stones River Battlefield tour, a civil war audio driving tour with numerous battle recreations, the Western Trails Exhibit, which required soundscapes and musicians to help paint the picture, and countless industrials in which companies and businesses are thrilled with the final product!
