"INDEPENDENT FEATURES & PRO TOOLS 9" Nashville, TN, March 8th 2011- No project too big or small would best describe the last several months at NPALL Audio. This winter saw the audio team deliver the sound mix for two independent features, as well as numerous spots and long form media projects.
To best accommodate this workflow, NPALL upgraded both of their audio suites to Mac based Pro Tools 9 HD systems. "The ease of use and processing power has saved us an immense amount of time," according to owner and chief sound designer Nick Palladino. That was in evidence as the audio team delivered the sound design and mix for two independent features…Provident Films "Courageous" and Kelly's Filmworks "1 Message."
NPALL Audio has also been working with Gabriel Productions on" Larry's Country Diner." Regularly airing on GAC, this music-based program involves performance as well as interviews. Palladino states " we are involved on the front end of the production as well as post, to ensure a quality product for our client."
Other projects that have had the NPALL team busy include spots for Cracker Barrel Restaurants, The TN. Lottery, and Farm Bureau Insurance. Firestone Tires looked to NPALL for a highly stylized long form video, and Nashville based Film House Productions, continued their long standing relationship with NPALL Audio, to service AFN (Armed Forces Network) for both television and radio spots.

"LIVE AT FREEDOM HALL" – ROCKIN' WITH LYNYRD SKYNYRD
Nashville, TN, March 26, 2010 - Lynyrd Skynyrd's historic concert at Freedom Hall in Kentucky is set to be released as both a CD and as a DVD by Roadrunner Records in stunning 5.1 surround sound. The concert by these renowned Southern Rockers features a long list of their legendary hits and is the last recording Lynyrd Skynyrd made with the late Billy Powell and Ean Evans. This is an historic and important concert for Skynyrd fans in the U.S. and around the globe.
Mixed at NPALL Audio's and Nashville's Ocean Way Studios, it fell on industry veterans and audio magicians Nick Palladino and Ben Fowler to create the stunning 5.1 surround experience for this project. "We wanted the people at home to get the same thrill that the people in the 10th row had in concert. The 5.1 surround mix enhances the 'live' experience and give a real sense of being there, engulfed in the Lynyrd Skynyrd sound", stated big-screen surround specialist Nick Palladino.
The historic nature of this particular concert was certainly not lost on long time Skynyrd collaborator, Engineer/Producer Ben Fowler. "I am especially proud to work with this classic American band on this project especially since it marks the last recording that includes both Ean Evans on bass and the legendary Billy Powell on keyboards. They are and will be missed by all Lynyrd Skynyrd fans. I am proud that Nick and I were able to translate the live experience for the home viewer."
Even as Nashville becomes a more and more popular stop for big and small screen audio production, both Palladino and Fowler are excited at the results of their efforts on "Live at Freedom Hall" and proud of their contributions to this extraordinary project.
Fowler and Palladino serve as co-chairs of the Producer/Engineer wing of the Recording Academy (NARAS).
